Layering clothes retains body heat to protect you from the cold and allows you the flexibility to remove layers to adjust to changing temperatures outdoors versus indoors. In fall and winter, prioritize warmth by choosing heavier fabrics and cozy knits like quilted materials, wool blends or chunky novelty sweaters and scarves. A style tip for cold-weather layering is to wear a base layer like a t-shirt or tank in 100% cotton that wicks moisture away from the skin, is breathable and soft.

1. Scarf as headband

One of our most popular styling options is to wear the airy summer scarf as a headband. You can go for a trendy monochrome look, with the entire outfit consisting of the same print or color as the scarf. Or you can combine a summer scarf that accents the same color shades of the chosen outfit or even contrasts with it.

3. Traditional tie around the neck

Finally, we come to the most conventional way to wear a scarf – a summer scarf wrapped around the neck or loosely placed around the neck. If the scarf flows loosely along the body, this has a wonderful visual effect that lengthens and slims the silhouette.
