The golden autumn is just around the corner and we are looking forward to the hottest styles from the fall/winter season 2023! Our design team has compiled the trendiest themes from the current season for you. Get inspired and look forward to cool looks and stylish outfits.

Monochrome look

The popular tone-on-tone look is also one of the most important fashion trends in this year’s fall/winter season – and preferably in bold colors. Especially in the cooler season, fashion lovers go for one color because you need many more pieces than in summer. Thus, with the so-called layering look, which consists of several layers, it is of course comfortable to rely on a particular color, which at the same time makes an absolute fashion statement.

Trend color green

Green is the absolutely most important trend color in 2023 and conquers the fashion world even in the cooler season. It does not matter which shade of green you go for, with this “it” color you are always right in its many nuances! Especially the monochrome look is very popular in this color world, no matter if the whole outfit consists of the same green shade, for example khaki or sage, or of different nuances.

Modern Classic

Another fashion trend that is impossible to imagine this year’s fall/winter season without is Modern Classic. This trend combines classics like blazers or jackets in Chanel look with modern silhouettes, colors and components of today’s trends. The classics of yesteryear get a trendy upgrade. For this, you can likewise conjure up your favorite pieces from the past and combine them with current it-pieces.

Alpine Mood

The mountain is calling! This outdoor-inspired fashion trend exudes a lot of mountain magic and reminds us of winter hours in the Alps. Of course, cozy Norwegian sweaters and warming outdoor jackets in trendy orange and red tones are not to be missed. In this year’s fall/winter season, you’ll cut a fine figure with the alpine look not only in the mountains, but also in the big city.

Back to Blue

The color blue is also an important trend color in the fall/winter season 2023 – and that in its versatile, beautiful nuances. At the same time, you are totally free in the combination and styling, because this color goes super together with the most different tones. For this reason, color blocking is a popular theme here. Either you combine the wonderful blue tones uncomplicated with white or black, or you create strong contrasts with strong colors like orange, red or pink. Care Zone

This year’s fall/winter season is going to be cozy! In the winter months we love it comfortable, soft and relaxed. That’s why the trend theme Care Zone meets exactly the needs we have during the cold season. Harmony, mental health and security are important keywords in this theme, as are athleisure and calm colors. We focus on fluffy yarns, comfortable silhouettes and calm colors like beige and blue. So dive into the wonderfully relaxed Care Zone!

Trend color pink

Barbie conquers in the current season not only the cinemas around the world, but also real life in 2023. This also has a very strong influence on the fashion world in the fall / winter season 2023. The pink tone “Viva Magenta” was also chosen this year as the Pantone color of the year. Therefore, you are absolutely on trend with pink! Wear this bold color either in monochrome style, i.e. pink from head to toe, or create strong color blocking looks by combining pink fashion pieces with other bold colors.

Party Party Party – in fall/winter 2023 we are looking forward to the festive season again, which is why the trendy theme Party Fever is absolutely indispensable from the season. Are you looking forward to bright sunshine, blooming flower meadows and chirping birds? We can hardly wait! And nothing increases the anticipation of spring more than our trend preview! Our design team has put together the hottest trends of this year’s spring/summer season for you. Get inspired and look forward to cool looks and stylish outfits!

1. Butterfly meets Flower Power

The colorful fashion trend from the 90s is back! Our favourite winged creature, the butterfly, charms runways all over the world to welcome this year’s spring/summer season, this time merging with the flower power trend. Whether on cardigans, t-shirts, pants or dresses – butterflies and flowers offer a standout look on every fashion piece this season.

2. Glamorous Sailor Stripes

Maritime stripes are also a total hit this season! It seems like this timeless classic is becoming more and more popular – and not without reason! Although the origin of the striped shirt may not have a glamorous background as it was considered the clothing of the French Navy, it caught the interest of Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel at the time. She made the striped shirt fashion, eventually becoming a symbol of elegant, maritime French chic.

3. Natural Garden Green

This season, green is one of the most popular colours of spring in different shades from lime to mint to forest green. But let’s be honest – what colour suits spring better than a bright green that reflects the colour of nature?

4. Soft Sports

This year’s spring/summer season is going to be sporty! The trending colour green plays an important role in creating casual looks with casual silhouettes in combination with light blue tones. Breathable modal fibers also ensure high elasticity and a super soft, comfortable feel on the skin. A cool appearance and a comfortable look is guaranteed in any case – whether for yoga, walking or relaxing!

5. Oversized look

Another trend reminiscent of the 90s is the oversized look. This trend consists of intentionally big silhouettes of blouses, sweaters, shirts, trench coats, blazers, dresses or pants worn one or two sizes larger than usual. And the best thing is that this look is not only super-cool but is totally comfortable!

6. Awesome Summer Knitwear

What would summer be without dresses? They are so wonderfully uncomplicated and just always look great! Particularly trendy this season are maxi dresses and shirtdresses that are slightly flared at the bottom. Especially dresses made of materials like cotton, linen, Tencel and viscose are in high demand for spring/summer 2022.

7. City Beach Vibes

From the beach to the city” is the motto for the summer as we combine an urban flair with casual beach vibes. Bright sun and light sand tones build anticipation for summer vacation. Relaxed blazers, cool Bermuda shorts as well as abstract nature prints remind us of summer in the big city.

8. Passionate Red

The two pantone colours “Cherry Tomato” and “Fiery Red” are absolutely on trend in this year’s spring/summer season! It’s the perfect colour scheme for those who are bright & bold. To stand out this spring, you can make a fashion statement in a red monochrome look. You can also colour block with bright colours to have all eyes on you.

Favourite Spring Outfits of Our Colleagues

We all have those signature pieces that we wish we could wear every day and we’re so happy when we can effortlessly integrate it into a variety of different looks! Three colleagues from Germany, Canada and Poland show us how they turn their fave styles from our latest collection, Eco Lodge, into everyday looks with ease! This collection is also irresistible for two reasons: You can create on-trend looks from the statement styles and, many of these pieces are made from eco-friendly materials such as TENCEL, ECOVERO or Organic Cotton. We hope you get inspiration and gather ideas for your own stylish and sustainable wardrobe additions!

Tania, Content Creator & Social Media Marketing Manager, Germany:

Hi, I’m Tania and I’ve been working as Content Creator & Social Media Marketing Manager at Olsen since February 2022. When it comes to fashion, one thing is for sure: I love clothes! In spring and summer, I especially love mixing cheerful colors and with wild prints. On warm summer days, my go-to look is an airy dress, and my favourite sandals – simple, effective, and no need to rack my brain for hours each morning searching for what to wear! On cooler days I like to add a jacket and scarf to my simple look, you can’t go wrong.

From the collection “Eco Lodge”, the patterned maxi dress is my absolute favorite piece! Due to its bohemian-style pattern and different shades of green, I think it compliments my dark brown eyes and hair perfectly. This dress is also TENCEL Modal, which is made from naturally growing beech wood and is obtained through an environmentally responsible process. My growing interest in sustainable styles helps to understand and attach importance to wearing clothes made of sustainable and eco-friendly materials. Combined with the denim jacket from our “Sea Forward” collection and the monochrome scarf from our “Nature Love” collection – this dress is an absolute must-have for the season!

Hi, I’m Nessa! I joined the Olsen team in December 2018, and I am the Graphic Designer and Visual Planning Coordinator in Canada. I would define my style as simple and modern with a twist – I love adding exciting and edgy pieces to personalize any look. When I’m not in the office, my go-to look is a classic band tee, jeans, my fave jean jacket, and a pair of combat boots to finish off the look.

For work I like to keep things a little more minimal. My go-to look this season consists of a variety of trending pieces from our Eco Lodge collection. This simple white tank, black trousers and safari style jacket will do the trick. By adding the zebra print scarf, the look transforms into an exciting and complete refined style, and effortlessly pulls everything together.

Hello, my name is Monika and I’m living out my passion for fashion as a Sales Specialist at Olsen in Poland. When it comes to my style, I generally prefer to wear timeless looks and combine classic basics with trendy, statement pieces. Since I’m a true lover of the boho style, it’s no surprise that our latest collection, “Eco Lodge”, especially appeals to me. I love the colour khaki green – it is a real eye catcher! I love showing off its versatility with exciting fashion pieces based in colours of white, beige, and yellow!

My favorite outfit of the spring season radiates my love for boho style – and my favourite colour khaki green is not to be forgotten! These airy linen pants are perfect for warm spring days and look perfect in combination with this khaki green tank top in a soft beige colouring! My go-to piece of the season must be this airy summer cape with the mix of different patterns and shades of green. This eye-catcher effortlessly rounds off my favorite look of the season!
